6 Foot Tall Cat Tree with 2 Condos

This type of cat tree is about 72 inches in height and has two condos. Depending on which manufacturers you buy the cat tree from, you can usually find one in a color that you like. There are 10 sisal covered scratching posts and two ladders. This type of cat tree has been designed for a house that has a few cats in it. The two condos on this cat tree can be used by cats as a place to nap.

There are three full levels on this cat tree and at the top of the cat tree there are three perches that your cats could look out from. It would suit a home that has a large room.  The bottom condo measures 18 inches by 12 inches, and the smaller enclosure measures 12 x 12 inches. There is a toy on a string that cats can play with while sitting on the platform of the cat tree. The base supporting the cat tree is 23.5 inches wide x 21.5 inches long. The three platforms on this cat tree measure 12.75 inches wide by 12.75 inches long.

The posts in this cat tree measure about 3 inches in diameter. The platforms are covered with a thin material that feels like the structure of carpet but it isn't actual carpet. This material is to protect the cardboard underneath and to give your cat some kind of comfort while they are lying on it.

Advantages

  • Since it is nearly 7 foot in height there is enough space between each platform for cats to feel secure with jumping up and down between the platforms.

  • This cat tree can also be used by kittens and other animals or rodents that like to climb.

  • No extra tools are required by you to assemble this tree. All cat trees come with an allen wrench to help secure each part of the cat tree together.

  • A household with at least 6 cats could use this tree.

  • It’s a great way to encourage your cats to exercise but have fun doing it.

  • If your cat doesn’t like the ladder attachments included with this, you can just remove them from the cat tree.

  • There are two condos on the cat tree, so at least two cats can nap in these enclosures.

  • If the posts become loose, since they screw in to the platform, you can just rescrew them in and retighten them.

  • There are 10 scratching posts on this cat tree for your cats to use.

  • The condos on this cat tree are covered in a faux fur type of material, to give the cat extra comfort while sleeping inside it.

  • The cat tree is suitable for indoor and outdoor cats.

Disadvantage

  • Since this is nearly 7 foot in height, it can become unstable if multiple cats are jumping up on it and this could cause it to topple over especially if they are being extra rough.

  • You would need to support this structure by either placing a heavy bucket, an ornament or a decorative stone on the bottom base because it does sway slightly when more than one cat is on it.

  • Due to the height of this cat tree, when you place it in a room, put it up against a wall for extra support. Don’t leave it freestanding in the middle of the room.

  • This might not be suitable for a larger cat because the platforms are standard size.

  • The tree is made from heavy compressed cardboard, so after a number of years of excessive use by your cats, you will most likely have to replace it.

  • It might be better putting this cat type of cat tree in a room with carpet as it would help a bit better with keeping the tree stable.

  • The ladders on these cat trees can only be attached at the part specified in the instructions, you cannot place them anywhere else on the cat tree.

  • The tree can take up to an hour to assemble if you have never assembled one of these before.

  • If over time, parts get damaged, it can be hard to find replacements for them, but that is the case with most types of cat trees.

  • You cannot place a standard size litter box inside the condos as they are not big enough.

  • It cannot be left outside because if it gets wet, it will get damaged.
