Cat Donut Bed

Advantages

• The donut bed is made from soft fleece material and it is filled with polyester which means that cats love snuggling up in the soft warm bed.

• The material is lightweight, so it is easy to transport.

• Most of these types of beds come in more than one color so you can purchase one that matches the color of your walls.
• The bed can be placed in a crate if transporting your cat as it is very flexible.
• You can use a hoover to clean the cat hair of these types of cat beds.

Disadvantages

• The bed is not waterproof so if your cat peed in it or it gets wet from being left outside, you would have to wash it and wait for it to dry out.
• You need to check the measurement on these types of donut beds as they vary in size and some aren’t always sized to suit each type of cat. The inside of the donut might be too small for some cats. 
• Washing these types of cat beds in the machine can cause the filing inside to shift and then they lose their shape.  So it would need to be hand washed each time to help preserve its shape.
• Over time the stitching can become loose if it is constantly being washed and if your cat uses it as a giant toy.
• The base of these types of beds doesn’t have any grip so the bed can slide around on the floor. It would then be better to place the donut bed on a carpeted surface.
• The base that the cat lies on is sometimes not detachable so it means you have to wash the whole bed not just the area that they sleep in.
