Crinkle Ball Toy

The crinkle ball toy is made of a material similar to aluminum foil. It is lightweight which means that your cat can pick it up with their paw or in their mouth. They are usually very small in size about 1.5 inches wide.

Since they are made of a foil type material, they will make a noise when your cat plays with them. Some cats love this aspect of it. Since they are so lightweight, your cat will be able to swat them around the room very easily. They are colored with a dye, so be careful with them around water. They are also very small, so don’t leave your cat unsupervised while playing with them.

Advantages

  • They are very light, so your cat can carry them in their mouth.
  • Cats can also swat them with their paw very easily and they will fly around the floor.
  • You can buy them in a multi packet, so they are one of the more affordable cat toys.
  • They are great for kittens that have lots of energy as they can run around the room chasing after them.
  • It is a good toy to use to help you train your cat to play fetch.
  • Some brands can be very durable and last for months.
  • Since they make a noise when they are rubbed between your fingers, it’s a great way to catch your cat’s attention.

Disadvantages

  • These crinkle balls come in different colors so that means that they are dyed. This means that they could contain toxic chemicals. So you need to make sure you buy from a brand that is experienced with producing cat toys like this. Don’t buy dupes online as they could make your pet sick. Also when they get wet, they can release the color used to dye them which can stain surfaces.
  • They are very small, so make sure your pet doesn’t accidentally swallow it while playing.  You might need to start watching your cat when they are playing with these for their own safety.
  • Some brands can be very flimsy and fall apart after only a few hours.
  • Since they are so small, your cat will hide them and you might never find out where they disappear to.
  • Older cats might not find them as interesting as kittens.
