This cat toy measures 35cm x 12cm x11cm. It is wrapped with sisal rope which is the same type of material that is used to make scratching posts for cats. It's larger than a normal sized cat toy mouse. I'd say it more the size of a rat. It's big enough for your cat to bite, kick and hit with their paws. It's also thick enough for your cat to grab with their front and back claws.
Advantages
- This large mouse is covered in the same sisal material as a cat scratching post.
- This type of rope is quite a sturdy rope and it is also a tough and durable material.
- Since this toy is quite large, your cat will be able to bite, kick and scratch at it with their claws and mouth.
- These types of toys usually have catnip inside them that helps cats get playful when they scent it.
- It's larger than a normal toy mouse, so your cat might think it's a rat.
- Since the tail is made from feathers, some cats will love biting and licking this.
Disadvantages
- Since the rope is glued around the mouse, over time with lots of use, the rope can become loose. If the rope starts to unravel from around the structure of the mouse, you will either let your cat completely unravel the rope, or you will stick it back on to the structure of the mouse with pet friendly glue.
- This toy mouse has catnip inside it and some cats and owners don't always like catnip.
- Since it is larger than a normal sized cat mouse, it might only be suitable for 1 year old kittens or older cats.
- Since it has catnip inside it, you couldn't give it to a rabbit or ferret in case it caused them to have a reaction.
- Some cats love to chew and pulls at the feathers that are on cat toys, so you need to supervise them in case they ingest the feathers.
